The Social and Emotional Development Resources (Activity Ideas) builds on the Social and Emotional Development Resources (Storybooks) by providing practical activity plans that bring selected stories to life for developing children's social and emotional competencies. The plans are organised by age group (0-3 years and 4-6 years) and the five key social and emotional competencies, following the "Identify – Plan and Provide – Evaluate" approach from the Early Years Development Framework (EYDF). Each plan includes learning objectives, step-by-step activities, and discussion prompts. Educators can adapt the content to suit their specific contexts and children's needs, supporting essential social and emotional learning during the critical early years.
Do check out this webpage as it will be regularly updated with additional SED resources to provide ongoing support for educators.
