EARLY CHILDHOOD DIGITALISATION GRANT FOR OPERATORS

Overview

The Early Childhood Digitalisation Grant (ECDG) under the Productivity Solutions Grant (PSG) is provided to all EC licensed preschool operators to help them implement digital solutions and purchase equipment to enhance productivity, support educators and improve service delivery. Funding is provided on a reimbursement basis to defray the cost of implementing pre-approved digital solutions and physical solutions/equipment curated under IDP 2.0.

Funding for Digital Solutions

ECDA and the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) progressively pre-approve sector-relevant digital solutions for adoption, with a grant support covering up to 50% of first-year implementation costs.

Funding for Physical Solutions/Equipment

Under IDP 2.0, ECDG support is expanded to help preschool operators defray the cost of purchasing physical solutions/equipment under specific solution categories. There are no pre-approved vendors and price packages for physical solutions/equipment. Operators have the flexibility to submit applications for their preferred solution provider that meets the established requirements of each pre-approved physical solution/equipment category.

Eligibility Criteria

Grant applicants must be ECDA-licensed operators/centres registered and operating in Singapore
Solution/s must be within the scope of the Early Childhood IDP categories:
- Digital solutions adopted have been pre-approved jointly by ECDA and IMDA and used in Singapore
- Physical solutions/equipment must meet the published category specifications
Solutions must be for new (i.e. have not been adopted by the centre before) or enhanced functions (i.e. upgrade to include new functions for existing solutions) adopted by the operator (for single legal entity) or consortium
Must not have:
1. made any payment to a supplier, vendor or third party in relation to the purchase/lease/subscription of the solution
2. signed or confirmed any contract with a supplier, vendor or third party in relation to the purchase/lease/subscription of the solution

Grant Quantum

Funding application is assessed based on operators' ECDA-registered UEN and number of centres registered under each UEN, as indicated in the grant application form.
The grant supports up to 50% of costs to implement pre-approved solutions, physical solutions/equipment unless otherwise specified. Specific cost caps may apply for certain solution categories.
The grant is disbursed on a reimbursement basis:
- Reimbursement amount should be within maximum approved amount.
- Operators must have fully implemented the solution(s) before submitting claim requests.

How To Apply

Operators may apply for the ECDG via the Business Grants Portal (BGP).

The following documents are required for submission for the respective stages:
