SPARK 2.0 Tool
The SPARK 2.0 tool is a quality assurance tool designed to support preschools in their continuous quality improvement journey. It provides quality descriptors that guide preschools in examining various aspects of their operations, from teaching and learning practices to leadership effectiveness and centre management processes.
The SPARK tool encompasses five interlinked criteria: Leadership, Staff, Partnerships, Quality Preschool Experience and Holistic Development. These criteria jointly create a learning environment that develops the knowledge, skills and dispositions that children require in their learning and developmental journey. Together, they play a vital role in shaping the overall quality of early childhood education.
