The Future Of Us - Media Features

A glimpse of future pre-school classrooms was presented at "The Future of Us" Exhibition through the Learning Pod Showcase by the Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA), in collaboration with the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA), KidsSTOP (Science Centre Singapore) and Playeum Ltd.

The Learning Pod Showcase was graced by Senior Minister of State (SMS) for Culture, Community and Youth as well as Finance, Ms Sim Ann, on 29 February. Together with children from various pre-schools, SMS Sim Ann had a peak into the possible learning opportunities for children in pre-schools of the future.

2,000 children from over 50 pre-schools visited the Learning Pod Showcase from 29 February to 2 March. Fun learning experiences infused with exciting future elements were brought to the children through a series of programmes and activities at the event. The element of learning through play was strongly emphasised.

Envisioning cars of the future!	Interacting with Pepper the teaching assistant robot

Key highlights of the showcase included exciting science experiments, designing cars and robots of the future and an opportunity to interact and take photographs with IDA's star teaching assistant robot, Pepper!
