Application Process for SPARK Validation

Preschools must meet the eligibility criteria before they can apply for SPARK accreditation.

The following are the key steps to applying for SPARK accreditation:

1. Eligible preschools interested to participate in the SPARK accreditation can make an application online via the SPARK module in CMS, cms.ecda.gov.sg, during the application windows as follows:
• 15 to 30 January
• 15 to 30 April
• 15 to 30 July
• 15 to 30 October
2. Preschools will receive an email invite to apply for SPARK accreditation nearer to the window application period.
3. Preschools need to submit the self-appraisal report and supporting documents to substantiate their self-appraisal via CMS during application. Preschool may refer to the SPARK 2.0 self-appraisal template with guiding questions to assist preschools in reviewing their processes and practices. Preschools may refer to the navigation guide on the steps to complete the Self-Appraisal Template under Resources in CMS-SPARK.
All incomplete applications will be withdrawn upon the application deadline.
4. Preschools will be contacted to submit additional documents (i.e. timetables, weekly activity plans and daily activity / lesson plans for all levels and layout plan) two weeks before the actual site visit.
5. You may refer to the following guides under 'Resources' in CMS-SPARK:
• SPARK 2.0 Application Guide for information on the SPARK Accreditation Process.
• Navigation Guide for SPARK Application in CMS for step-by-step instruction to apply for the SPARK Accreditation in CMS.
