SMS SIM ANN VISITS OUR LEARNING POD WITH CHILDREN FROM VARIOUS PRE-SCHOOLS!

We were honoured when Senior Minister of State for Culture, Community and Youth as well as Finance, Ms Sim Ann, paid a visit to our Learning Pod Showcase on 29 February! Together with children from various pre-schools, she experienced various learning opportunities that may be offered by pre-schools of the future!

LEARNING POD SHOWCASE AT THE FUTURE OF US EXHIBITION!

ECDA, in partnership with IDA, Playeum and KidsSTOP, presented the Learning Pod at The Future of Us Exhibition on 29 February to 2 March 2016.

The Learning Pod is a mobile, versatile learning space, where authentic learning can take place in a safe, fun, engaging and enriching environment!

A line-up of fun and interactive programmes were also available for young children!

EVENT HIGHLIGHTS

Scheduled Programmes

• IDA Learning with Robots:
  Robots will be showcased as children's learning companion and the teachers' able assistants.
• Playeum: Create your Car of the Future
  Immerse in a creative activity to imagine a car of the future with recycled materials, craft items and tape.
• KidsSTOP: Cool Chemistry
  Join in an experimental bubble fun chemistry activity for children

• IDA: Learning with Robots
  Interact and learn with Pepper the robot at the Marketplace
• Playeum: Create for Speed
  Try and make the fastest car possible out of Lego components
• KidsSTOP: Tinker with Wind Table
  Build a flying craft usnig different materials and put it above the wind table

Fringe Activities

• Photobooth
  Snap a photo with Pepper the robot and our Learning Pod mascots
• My Dream for Singapore
  Pen down your dreams in words or pictures for the nation, particularly in the area of early childhood development
