During the circuit breaker in April 2020, Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA) launched the #SGPreschoolsUnited initiative to consolidate and appreciate the tremendous efforts of our early childhood (EC) educators and staff, keep their spirits high, and motivate them to carry on what they are doing with pride during these challenging times.

Commemorative eBook

As part of this initiative, an open call was put out for preschools and parents to share real stories of dedicated EC educators and staff who had gone the extra mile for a child, parent or colleague during these tough times. This commemorative eBook documents these inspiring stories and proudly showcases how our preschool sector banded together to brave the storm and weather the changes of the pandemic.

We also hope that this eBook will show our most heartfelt appreciation for the professionalism, dedication and hard work of the principals, teachers and staff who stood on the frontline of the preschool sector, battling COVID-19 while keeping our children safe and ensuring that learning never stops.

Design a Heart e-Collage!

To appreciate the “heart” work that the preschool community continue to put in during these challenging times, we also invited preschoolers, parents and EC educators to express their appreciation by designing a heart!

Selected hearts were chosen to adorn a very special canvas bag distributed to all preschool staff during Teachers’ Day, in appreciation of their role in keeping the preschools safe during the pandemic.

The hearts are also consolidated into an e-collage as a tribute to our EC educators for the meaningful job they have been doing. Click on the links below to view these colourful creations that will warm your hearts too!
