Raingarden workshopRaingarden workshop 2

Using a creative approach to show water filtration via different types of soil with different properties, the children will be able to learn more about the functions of a rain garden and how different soil layers play a different role to clean rainwater and surface runoff. Indirectly, they develop their motor skills and stimulate their observation abilities as they notice the natural cleansing properties of plants in rain gardens and how water and nature affects one another.

ABC Water Trails

The environment provides a great outdoor classroom in its natural setting. Children will have fun sharpening their detective skills while exploring the various environmental features at our blue spaces guided by partnering schools. Through such experiential learning experiences, our young learn to respect the environment and understand how the ecosystem plays a part towards sustaining lives. In addition, they can also participate in litter-picking exercises and cultivate a sense of responsibility and appreciation for clean water.
