COACHING FOR SPARK
One of the support measures provided by ECDA for preschools for their participation in SPARK is the Quality Assurance Coaching (QAC) scheme. Preschools may apply to ECDA for coaching to assist them in working towards SPARK.
Through the QAC
scheme, preschools may tap on coaches from the Early Childhood field to
guide them in making quality improvement to meet the standards as outlined in
SPARK. Preschools will be guided to address quality gaps in their structures
and processes, and work towards SPARK Certification.
BENEFITS TO PRESCHOOLS
Preschools will be
guided in enhancing the quality of their structures, processes and outcomes.
They will receive advice in planning and executing quality improvements in
preparation for SPARK Assessment.
The QA coaches are
experienced practitioners and educators from the Early Childhood sector. They
have been carefully identified and trained by ECDA to fulfil the role of QA
FUNDING OF COACHING CHARGES AND ELIGIBILITY
ECDA funds up to 80%
of the coaching charges. Eligible preschools need only to pay $250.
