Child care centres provide early childhood care and development programmes for children aged between 18 months and below 7 years old. Some centres also provide infant care services for children aged between 2 to 18 months.

There are also centres that offer only infant care services.

Child care centres typically operate Mondays to Fridays, 7:00 am to 7:00 pm and Saturdays, 7:00 am to 2:00 pm, and are open year round to cater to working parents. Some centres operate beyond 7:00 pm.

Kindergartens provide early childhood development programmes for children below 7 years of age, typically starting at age 3.

Kindergartens typically offer half-day programmes and do not operate during weekends and school holidays.

MOE Kindergarten offers half-day K1 and K2 programmes at its centres. For parents who require a full-day care service for their child, Kindergarten Care (KCare) is available at most MOE Kindergartens. More information on KCare is available here.

Early Years Centres provide early childhood care and development services for children aged two months to four years. All eligible Singaporean Nursery 2 children enrolled in the EYC will be guaranteed a Kindergarten 1 place in a nearby partner MOE Kindergarten.

EYCs may also provide half-day kindergarten services for children in the nursery years (age 3 and/or 4). Please contact the centre directly to register for the kindergarten programme.
