PLAYTIME WITH KAYA THE OTTER
NParks organised "Biodiversity Week for Schools" from 16 - 20 May 2016 as a lead up to the International Day of Biological Diversity 2016. Pre-schools under ECDA were invited to participate in the "Playtime with Kaya the Otter" activity, which is a self-run art workshop to raise awareness of our natural heritage. This workshop is suitable for K1 and K2 children.
Through this activity, the children learned about the greening efforts and wildlife in Singapore by following the adventures of Kaya the Otter through a short animated video.
Registered pre-schools received the following materials to carry out the activities:
-- Interactive sticker book for every child
-- A link to the video animation of "Kaya the Otter Finds a New Home"
