ECDA Awards for Excellence in Early Childhood Development

ECDA Awards 2018 

​​NOMINATIONS ARE NOW OPEN

The ECDA Awards for Excellence in Early Childhood Development recognises exemplary early childhood (EC) leaders, teachers and educarers, as well as centres that have excelled in teaching and learning and in their innovative practices.

The call for nominations is now open till Thursday, 29 March 2018, 5pm. ECDA is pleased to invite child care centres and kindergartens to submit nominations for the prestigious ECDA Awards. The Award Categories are as follows:

CALL FOR NOMINATIONS

I. Individual Awards (Outstanding and Promising Categories)​

OUTSTANDING/ PROMISING EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCARER AWARD

This Award recognises the achievements of exemplary educarers who expand the boundaries of professionalism and scale up the quality of their curriculum and pedagogical practices.
 
These are educarers committed to delivering high quality early childhood care and education. They make a positive difference in the lives of infants and toddlers and their families.

OUTSTANDING/ PROMISING EARLY CHILDHOOD TEACHER AWARD

This Award recognises the achievements of exemplary teachers who expand the boundaries of professionalism and scale up the quality of their curriculum and pedagogical practices.
 
These are teachers committed to delivering high quality early childhood care and education. They make a positive difference in the lives of young children and their families.

OUTSTANDING/ PROMISING EARLY CHILDHOOD LEADER AWARD
 
This Award recognises the achievements of exemplary Supervisors of child care centres and Principals of kindergartens in early childhood care and education.
 
These Supervisors and Principals excel in organisational, curriculum, collaborative leadership and exemplify quality professional behaviours and practices. They are committed to delivering high quality early childhood care and education to young children and their families.

II. Centre Awards

OUTSTANDING CENTRE FOR TEACHING AND LEARNING AWARD

This Award recognises child care centres and kindergartens which have excellent programmes, processes and learning environments that drive outstanding teaching and learning practices. These practices support and facilitate young children's holistic development.
 
These are centres committed to delivering high quality early childhood care and education that benefits young children and their families.

EARLY CHILDHOOD INNOVATION AWARD
 
This Award recognises child care centres and kindergartens which have undertaken the ECDA’s Innovation Grant or Innovation Guidance Project to nurture a culture of innovation that have improved and enhanced existing programmes, curriculum and pedagogical practices, processes or services.
 
Only ECDA-funded Innovation Grant & Practitioner Inquiry Projects will be automatically considered for this Award.

For more information on the eligibility criteria and nomination procedures of the ECDA Awards 2018, please refer to the nomination forms available for download through the links above.

The closing date for all nominations is Thursday, 29 March 2018, 5pm.

ENHANCING LEARNING THROUGH INNOVATION
