Skills Framework for Early Childhood Care and Education



What is it?

The Skills Framework (SF) for Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) is a guide for individuals, employers and training providers to promote skills mastery and lifelong learning in the ECCE sector. It provides a common reference for skills and competencies required in the ECCE sector to help the following target groups:

     ·  Individuals (e.g. EC educators): to make informed decisions on skills development and
         professional 
growth

     ·  Employers (e.g. Centre leaders, operators): to recognise skills and invest in skills training for
         their employees

     ·  Training providers: to design programmes that address the sector's manpower and skills needs

How does it work?

The Skills Framework for Early Childhood Care and Education provides the following key information to guide you in progressing as an EC educator:
